Light – Ultra-Portable Backpack X-ray System

The Delft Light is an innovative, battery-powered ultra-portable backpack X-ray system engineered for fast, flexible imaging anywhere. Designed for maximum mobility, this compact portable X-ray unit weighs just 29.5 kg and includes a backpack and detector bag, making it easy to carry across challenging terrain. Ideal for TB screening, mobile clinics, and outreach programs, the Delft Light can be fully set up or packed down in just 5–10 minutes, enabling rapid deployment in remote or resource-limited environments.

Powered by two detachable batteries, the Delft Light delivers up to 400 exposures on a full charge. Its batteries can be recharged from standard power sources or via the included portable solar panel, ensuring reliable operation even in areas with unstable electricity. Batteries can also be swapped and recharged in the field, allowing uninterrupted workflow during extended screening missions.

Originally designed for chest X-rays, the Delft Light also supports extremity imaging, making it suitable for diagnosing fractures, injuries, and other conditions. The system’s 360-degree rotating X-ray tube stand ensures flexible imaging positions for patients whether standing or lying down.
